About

Welcome to an exciting and vibrant South East Queensland canoe club. The UQ Canoe Club has a range of sea kayaking, canoe polo, white water, flatwater, general canoeing, camping, and safety equipment for members to use.

You don’t need to be a student to join, and as a member of the club you can participate in massively discounted trips including local river paddles such as the Noosa and upper Brisbane rivers, weekends in Moreton Bay, or white water kayaking!

In addition to all of this, the club conducts social paddles on the river such as to Southbank or West End (sometimes for breakfast or shopping), paddle groups every week for either fitness or social paddlers, skills sessions for members PLUS if you would like to further your skills by completing a course through Qld Canoeing, we may pay up to half of the course fees for you (committee approval required)!

To get an idea of what we do, please look through what we have done in the past. Look through previous activities and events .

Try it first – If you want to learn more about the club and have a try-out before joining, the club allows non-members to have a one-off paddle as a club visitor.
Look for our start of semester come and try events. If you missed this, please check for any rostered trial/induction paddle sessions (not the start of semester induction days).
