Come and Try Day – Sem 1, 2024

You do not need to register beforehand. Members are needed to help run it – please let organisers know beforehand that you can come and help.

Do your friends want to try? This is your chance. The start of semester come and try day is scheduled for Saturday 17th February, from 8:00 AM to 12 Noon . Prospective members are encouraged to come.

Come and meet club members. Find out more about the club.

Sick of paddling a tub?

Spend a small amount on club membership and access a fleet. Come and see.

Join and learn about boats before you buy your own – otherwise this could be you!

Current members please come along (come a bit earlier 8:00 AM as we need help setting up), help out, and meet new people. Help the club get a good start to the year.

Date: Sat, 17th Feb 2024
Time: 8:00AM to 12 Noon (any time in the morning)
Location: UQ Canoe Club Boat shed, located here.

Come dressed in sensible gear (e.g. shorts, shirt (long sleeves if possible, and shoes that you don’t mind if they get wet). A hat and dark glasses are also recommended. You can bring a towel and dry clothes just in case….. (though it’s not likely you’ll need these).

You must be able to swim (you will also need to sign a club waiver on the day). You must also be over 18 years old (its a legal thing 🙁 ). Please let us know if you have any relevant medical issues (check with your doctor first if needed).
