Leg 1: Norman Creek to UQCC Shed (Dam to Bay)

The first leg of our Dam to the Bay series. We will paddle the New Farm – St. Lucia leg of the river.

We will put in upstream of Churchie (The hight School) at a private address or at the public pontoon (Heath Park) and paddle down Norman Creek to the Brisbane River. We will cross to New Farm and paddle to the New Farm Park River hub (4.2km from start) and have a leisurely brunch (breakfast/lunch) at the adjacent Brisbane Powerhouse while the tide finishes going out. We will then paddle 12 km back up the river with the incoming tide and end at the club shed with potential stops at Kangaroo Point, Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park (if accessible), or Southbank (downstream end) as needed.
